Maestra London are hiring a Sales & New Business Manager

Maestra Group is an energetic global event design and technical production company with offices in both London and Dubai.

As we plan the next stage of our development, we are now looking for a target-driven sales professional with a successful track record of winning new business in the events industry.

The main focus of the role will be to maintain excellent relationships with existing clients, nurturing that business as well as working proactively to generate new business. As a new role, this will involve both research work to establish new areas of work, as well as proactive lead conversion to deliver results.

The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of business development experience within the events industry (from both new and existing clients), using a destination marketing approach and consultative selling techniques. Significant experience in securing preferred supplier status with corporate clients and the ability to identify high vs. low potential business is necessary to be successful in this role.

The Role
- Seeking new business opportunities, and driving marketing activities. 
- Taking responsibility for closing high yield business efficiently, to meet and exceed individual, team and company financial targets.
- Maintaining a network of contacts, partners and industry bodies that enhances opportunities for new and repeat business. 
- Identifying appropriate situations to up-sell the company’s services and products. 
- Developing the key account portfolio, identifying key agencies, organisations and events that should be targeted. 
- Attending networking events and industry-related conferences. 
- Developing and executing strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our client base. 
- Effectively communicating the value proposition through proposals and presentations. 
- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts. 
- Negotiating commercial contracts. 
- Managing and building relationships to build out new business pipeline. 
- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts. 
- Ensuring the commercial viability of events. 
- Managing the strategies necessary for individual clients to secure rebookings and maximising revenue for future events. 
- Working towards the achievement of quarterly revenue targets. 
- Monitoring and evaluating all KPIs. 
- Implementing strategies for developing, maintaining and improving standards of service.

The Person
- 5 years relevant experience in sales, marketing and/or new business. 
- Commercial acumen and business awareness. 
- Contract negotiation experience. 
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close. 
- Demonstrable experience of meeting, or exceeding, targets. 
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills. 
- High attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to work under pressure to meet targets. 
- Highly organised, with the flexibility to quickly adapt to changes. 
- Interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others in and outside the sales function. 
- Ability to work to tight timescales often with conflicting priorities.

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience + commission
